How Whoosh measures the lift on your store
Not with lab tests. With your own shoppers: some get Whoosh, some do not, and your dashboard compares the two groups. Whoosh's own figures on this site come from tests like this on client stores.

A 50/50 test first, then 90/10
-
First few weeks
50/50: half with Whoosh, half without
Every store starts here, for about a month. Half your shoppers get Whoosh and half do not. Both groups shop the same store over the same weeks, so Whoosh is the one thing that differs between them.
-
Once the result is clear
90/10: a 10% control group stays
Whoosh moves to 90/10. Nine in ten shoppers get Whoosh, and one in ten stays without it as a control group, so the lift stays measured, not assumed.
What the two groups are compared on
Conversion
Your dashboard compares the conversion rate of the two groups: the share of visits that end in an order. The difference is the conversion lift.
Revenue
Your dashboard compares the revenue of the two groups. The difference is the revenue Whoosh recovers.
Speed and bounce
Your dashboard also shows how fast pages load for real shoppers, with Core Web Vitals measured the way Google measures them, and the bounce rate.
