In his words
Drew Mansur, founder of TileCloud.
TileCloud sells tiles online, a touch-and-feel purchase, so its website had to do a showroom’s job. Press any line to hear him say it.
-
They just load in a chaotic order, and that is slow.
Drew Mansur, TileCloud -
So, 1% here, 1% there really magnifies as volume increases.
Drew Mansur, TileCloud -
So when you do take that likely action, boom, straight away it’s there.
Drew Mansur, TileCloud -
Yeah, super unpopular idea, buying tiles online.
Drew Mansur, TileCloud -
And then it’s like, “Hey, this site feels super fast.”
Drew Mansur, TileCloud -
Making sure that we’ve got a slick website that’s easy to navigate and get where you want to get quickly is critical.

What Whoosh changed
Same store, same apps. Two things changed.
TileCloud ran on a stack of apps: shipping, search, merchandising. Google read the store as slow. So did shoppers.
1 Smart App Loading
“You can actually tell the apps which order to load in.”
Whoosh puts the apps in order: what shoppers can see loads first, and the tags they never notice load later. The store looks exactly the same.
2 AI Page Preloading
“They run AI over your site, understand what people are most likely to click on next.”
Whoosh works out which page a shopper will tap next and has it ready before they tap. The page is simply there.

Who they are
Meet TileCloud and Drew Mansur.
Tiles, online · Rosebery, Sydney
An online tile store built by renovators.
TileCloud started with its founders’ own renovation headaches: buying tiles was hard work. So they made it simple. Order samples to see the tiles in your own space, book a design appointment, and have everything delivered anywhere in Australia, from bathrooms and kitchens to floors and outdoor spaces.
Tiles are a touch-and-feel purchase, so the website has to do a showroom’s job. That is why speed mattered to them.
Co-founder, TileCloud
Drew Mansur
Drew started TileCloud with Mark and Floss around the same time Koala and Casper were teaching people to buy mattresses online. In Part 1 he explains why speed went from a nice-to-have to “critical” as more of the business ran through the website.
“Making sure that we’ve got a slick website that’s easy to navigate and get where you want to get quickly is critical.”

Questions
What is the Founder Series?
Short films with the founders of Shopify brands that run Whoosh, on what speed did for their store, in their own words. TileCloud's Drew Mansur is first, in two parts.
When is Part 2 out?
Wednesday 14 October, on LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook, linked from this page as soon as it is up. It is how TileCloud knew it was Whoosh, and not just a good week.
How do I enter the competition?
Guess the brand in Episode 3 or its founder, and leave your name and email so we can reach you if you win (a phone number is optional). One entry per person. Changed your mind after a new clue? Guess again with the same email address before 31 January 2027 and your latest guess counts.
What can I win?
One prize worth more than A$1,400: more than A$200 of the Episode 3 brand's products, chosen by you, plus 6 months of Whoosh Max free (US$894, about A$1,280 today) for any Shopify store you choose. You do not need a Shopify store to enter or to win.
How is the winner picked?
We reveal the brand in February 2027. Everyone who named the brand or its founder correctly goes into a random draw, and we contact the winner by email (or phone, if they gave one).
What does code GOFAST give me?
1 month of Whoosh free instead of the standard 7 days, then 5% off every month you stay, on any plan. Claim it with your store's address, install Whoosh, and add GOFAST on the plans page before you pick a plan. It is for stores new to Whoosh.
Competition terms
- The promoter is Fastlane Technology Pty Ltd, trading as Whoosh, 103/61 Ashmore Street, Erskineville NSW 2043, Australia (“we”).
- Entries open on 8 October 2026 and close at 11:59pm Sydney time on Sunday 31 January 2027. Entries received after that are not counted.
- Open to anyone 18 or over. Our staff, the staff of the Episode 3 brand, and their immediate families may not enter.
- To enter, guess the brand in Founder Series Episode 3 or the founder who appears in it, on this page, with your name and email address (a phone number is optional). One entry per person, by email address. You may change your guess before entries close; your latest guess is your entry.
- A guess is correct if it names the Episode 3 brand or the founder who appears in Episode 3 (a first name is enough, and we accept clear misspellings).
- The winner is drawn at random from correct entries within 7 days of Episode 3’s release in February 2027, and contacted by email (and phone, if given) within 2 days of the draw. If the winner cannot be reached or does not accept the prize within 14 days, we draw again.
- The prize is worth more than A$1,400: more than A$200 of the Episode 3 brand’s products at retail value, chosen by the winner from its range and delivered free; and, if the winner wants it, 6 months of Whoosh Max free (US$894 at US$149 a month, about A$1,280 at 7 October 2026 exchange rates) for a Shopify store the winner chooses, their own or one they name. If the brand cannot deliver to the winner’s country, we may substitute a prize of equal or greater value. The prize cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred.
- We use your details to run the competition and contact the winner. If you tick the box, we also email you each new episode and clue; you can unsubscribe at any time. See our privacy policy.
- We may publish the winner’s first name, initial and brand. This competition is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook or Shopify.
- Our decision on correct entries and the draw is final. Where the law allows, we are not liable for entries lost or delayed, and we may change or end the competition if something outside our control makes it unfair to run, telling entrants on this page.
